As part of her ANU PhD project on Indian Mynas, Kate Grarock is looking for additional residents of :

Pearce (and surrounding parts of Chifley and Torrens)

Kambah (south of Drakeford Drive only)

Kaleen (and adjacent parts of southern Giralang)

who would be willing to have trapping nest boxes installed in their front gardens.

The proposed arrangement is that Kate or her assistant would install the box, which would be inspected regularly by the residents for signs of occupation/nesting by native birds, mynas, starlings or bees.

Residents would be asked to report nesting or other occupation to Kate, who would then arrange to inspect the box, record details of nesting and remove any mynas, starlings or bees.

If interested, please contact Kate at: or on her mobile: 0417 612 614.

Please provide your street address, as some addresses may be outside the survey area.

Cheers,

Bruce Lindenmayer
