Thanks to those who commented on the likelihood of Lyrebirds occurring in the drier habitats.  Looks like I was off the mark there (incredible), and La Petite was close to the mark (not so incredible these days – smarty brats!)

 

However the question still hanging in the air – is it usual to hear Boobooks calling during daylight hours? M’aidez! M’aidez!
