Hi folks
On my walk this am to check out my GBS. The attached phot is part of what I saw.  It used to be home to about 3-4 pairs SFW.  A favourite perch in the middle of the grass, not a fire problem, as far as I could see, was also taken out, despite pleas to leave it.  It was a perch for Maggies, black faced cuckoo shrike, sparrowhawks, even a kingfisher, plus load of small birds. But no, its a dead tree - has to come out!!
 
It will be very interesting to see the bird count now.
