Hi all - well thanks so much for all the responses - fantastic!!! I now know
its a 'common as muck' Striated Pardalote (although the race is in dispute -
one bid for the ornatus and another for the nominate race). I'll keep my
pics to under 100k in future and grab a copy of McComas Taylor's guide also.

Hi there - Im new to this list, so apologies if this is a really obvious
question - but can someone tell me what sort of bird this is? Some sort of
honeyeater I assume. Spotted Saturday morning at Mt Ainslie. (sorry about
