Hi Lance

The bird in your photo is a Striated Pardalote, a small yet vocal woodland
bird. Note the white stripe and little red spot on the wing, and the short
stout black bill. This bird looks like the nominate race (there are several
races!).

Regards
Anthony

Hi there - Im new to this list, so apologies if this is a really obvious
question - but can someone tell me what sort of bird this is? Some sort of
honeyeater I assume. Spotted Saturday morning at Mt Ainslie. (sorry about
the small image - it was shot from quite a distance) Cheers! Lance
