There seems to have been quite a few reports of PBQs this year but I
don't know whether this means they have become more or less uncommon. It
may be that folk have focussed on them a bit more. Sightings that I am
aware of have come from: Mulligan's Flat NR (several), Gungahlin Hill
NR, Black Mountain NR (several), and Coolemon Ridge.
Did you spot platelets as well?

Stirling Ridge, Yarralumla. These are the first sightings for at least
the last 3 years. I believe they breed irregularly there; some
