I didn't see any evidence of new gates at either end of Blundell's Creek Rd, or along Warks Rd from the Blundell's Creek Rd intersection into the park.  The section of Warks Rd which has been shut has been done so with big new yellow gates, and signs that say "No through road".  Hopefully things will stay that way.

My (aghast) interpretation of the map pointed to by Paul is that access to Blundells Ck Rd AND upper Warks Rd is to cease, since there are marked "locked gates" at both ends.  Since the document is fairly recent, I assume that some closures have not yet happened.  I urge anyone who has an interest in maintaining our access to both those exceptionally birdy areas and a unique (or close to it) ecology in the ACT to protest to TAMS and to our wonderful gomint.  Hopefully if we get in early they will rethink.

Presumably Blundell's Creek Road will now become a trail-bike super-highway.

I was surprised to find the locked gate on Warks Road on Saturday afternoon too.  I found the following
on the TAMS website*:

   Road Closures

Well over 100 kilometres of roads and tracks that are no longer required have been closed and rehabilitated. Other roads that are needed for fire and land management, but which are not suitable for recreational vehicle access, have been locked. This has been done to minimise erosion and sediment movement and reduce the probability of accidental or malicious bushfire ignition. Access behind locked gates is permitted for pedestrians and cyclists only. Refer to the following Map (PDF 1.2 Mb) Note: This map is subject to change without notice.

The map is quite confusing; I can't tell if there is another way to get to the wet forest area on
Warks Road now.  (I assume that Namadgi NP proper is outside of TAMS jurisdiction and
hasn't been similarly incarcerated.)  I guess I'll have to go exploring and see how far I can get
along the roads that I know!
