A male Koel flew low over my place in O'Connor at 5pm today, escorted by
two Magpies, with all three calling as they went. Direction was from
Banksia/Miller St in NW to O'Connor Shops in SE. This was the first time
I've had a really good look at one. The shiny black plumage is quite
striking. Quite a large bird, about the same as the escorting Magpies
only longer.
