Hi

This morning, while blitzing at Stromlo Forest Park, we heard a 'new' call coming from a creekline. We heard the call for around about 15 minutes, after which I saw a male King Quail.

For those wishing to have a search:

Go to main entry of Stromlo Forest Park. If you stop just inside the entry, near the roundabout, and on your right as you enter, there is a major creek line. Follow this creek line for between half and one kilometre. There are several swampy sections. The bird used at least two of these while we were following it.

latlong: 35 18 53 149 01 09

My request is: Has someone got a recording of King Quail?

regards

Con
