It seems to me that there's been a lot of Rufous Songlarks in the region this 
year, although I can't comment about their historical frequency.  I heard one 
in the trees bordering the Fyshwick Settlement Ponds yesterday, and there was 
one near the self storage at Kambah Center on the weekend.  The first time I 
ever saw one was last year at Lake Gininderra.  I stopped on the way to 
Griffith NSW recently at a spot near Gundagai and there was a lot of Rufous 
Songlarks calling from the trees lining the road.
