The Swamp Harrier was chased off by Lapwings.

Hi Martin - good to meet you today. I just had a look at my records in Eremaea
and I recorded a Royal Spoonbill on 10 Oct 08, but I just checked my recordings
in email and I saw a pair on 07 Oct 08. I also met Alastair Smith on the 10th,
so he may also have a similar record.
That's not to say the Spoonbills won't turn up. :) There was a Yellow
Spoonbill much ealier in the year in 2008 as well.
I'm intrigued by the silence of the Whistling Kites seen in the ACT. I don't
think I've ever heard one call, yet when I lived in northern NSW they would
call constantly and I didn't have to look to know they were around.
