We found the powerful owl this morning at the ANBG in the rainforest gully.  Its location is on the southern side of  main path, beside the raised boardwalk at the top end of the gully and about 5 metres downhill from where the boardwalk meets the paved path (which is about 20 metres or so downhill from where the path crosses the gully).  The owl is high in a tree that is very close (2cm) to the boardwalk's railing and has a vine growing on it.  There is (or was, before this afternoon's rain) quite a bit of whitewash on the boardwalk.  Two currawongs were harassing the owl when we were there.
