I heard it this morning (9 am or so) in my front garden in Beauchamp
Street Deakin (above Kent Street), I have heard it before, including in
the Red Hill nature Park (western end, in the Bush above the "Deakin
Telephone Exchange").
It was risking its skin, because there is a nesting pair of Wattle Birds
in a big Grevillea at the moment, and they have repelled a lot of the
usual visitors, even the Mynahs and Blackbirds.

Might be a White-eared Honeyeater, where were you when you heard it?
