Hello all,

After fleeing downpours in the foothills late this morning, I wandered by Kelly's Swamp and the sewage works for some brief birding.  The oft reported quartet of BLACK-TAILED NATIVE HENS continue to grace the ponds with their presence; no less than 6 BLACK-WINGED STILTS were observed, 4 PINK-EARED DUCKS, and 4 BLACK-FRONTED DOTTERELs; at least 5 BLUE-BILLED DUCKS were in the sewage works, along with other 'expected' duck/grebe species.  A HORSFIELD'S BRONZE CUCKOO was foraging amongst trees around the hides, and was near the car park when I left.

Cheers,
Adam Searcy
