Strangely, I have not seen choughs on Farrer Ridge up until now.  A pair have a nest not far from the Gaunson-Selwood roundabout.  Their two chicks are not developing in unison.  One is running around on the ground, and has been for a couple of days, while the other is still in the nest, refusing to fly, in spite of repeated attempts by one parent teach it to fly.  The other parent just goes off and gets another worm.
