5 BT Native Hens on the far  (western) side on the grass towards the southern end of Kelly Swamp at about 10.30 this morning.  Swamp Harrier and Whiskered Terns also present.

At Newline - lots of activity and plenty of spring migrants - Pallid Cuckoo (at least 4), Horsfield's Bronze-Cuckoo, Leaden Flycatcher, dozens of Grey Fantail, Dusky WS, NFB, Sacred Kingfisher and a single Zebra Finch with a group of Double-barred.  Raptors included 2 Little Eagle, Brown Goshawk and kestrel.   Only one Tree Martin seen - would the starlings displace them?  Brown Treecreeper and Southern Whiteface much harder to find in the lovely green grass - they were at the southern end of the front (eastern) paddock.

I didn't see any Black Tailed Native Hens, but there were unusually large numbers of Eurasian Coot on Kelly's Swamp and the Sewerage Ponds.  Two Stilts, some Straw Necked Ibis, half a dozen Marsh terns (Whiskered Terns), New Holland Honeyeater, Purple Swamphen, Grey Fantail, Red Browed Finch, Dusky Moorhen.

Does anyone on the list know anything about frogs?  There's some frogs calling that sound like some sort of laughing frog as opposed to the typical pobblebonks.
