Next Wednesday Walk

I have attached a map showing the approximate  position of the three TSRs to be visited on the next Wednesday Walk.  I will have 1:25k topographic maps to assist with locating the Reserves (although only Cavan is likely to pose any navigational issues. Essentially all are on Mountain Creek Rd which is accessed via Fairlight Road from Urriara Crossing.  My estimate is that it would be about 80km round trip from Stromlo Forest Park (SFP).  According to reliable records it is 11.7km from the MullionTSR to Cavan TSR.  Althouh I haven't done the whole trip recently I expect there will be some dirt roads but all traversable by 2WD, unless we get a really good amount of rain in the interim.

The plan is to carpool and leave SFP at 9am (so if people wish to spend time looking for Chats and Firetails at SFP get there somewhat earlier).  I would expect that we'll return about 3:30, although that will be negotiated closer to the day.  Definitely bring lunch and water if planning to take in all the TSRs but as stated earlier there is no compulsion .to do the lot.  However if you are planningto short-cut bear that in mind with the pooling and let myself or Mike Robbins know when you depart.
