Elizabeth, Chris Davey has been handling this for COG. He has been to a
recent roundtable which the Chief Minister called to discuss the wetlands
with a number of ecologists and community groups. Chris spoke out strongly
at that meeting about the lack of planning for impacts on the wetlands, the
need for buffers etc.
As far as I am aware, the plans for East Lake development which will be adjacent, have not been released publicly as yet. Probably best to discuss with Chris, but he is away at the moment - for another week I think. Jenny |
