Dear Canberra Birders,
Canberra Indian Myna Action Group's third AGM is on
next Wednesday 29 August, at the Southern Cross Club, next to the Jamison
Centre, Catchpole Street, Macquarie, from 7.30 pm.
The club was formerly called Wests Rugby
Club.
Following brief formalities and committee progress
reports, there will be interesting presentations by Alison Russell-French
(Birds Australia President, on threats to Australian native birds), from ANU
Indian Myna researchers Chris Tidemann and Kate Grarock on their projects and
from Tracey Poulter of Wingecarribee Shire on that shires' Indian Myna
control program.
Talks will be followed by general discussions,
questions and stories.
It is a warm venue with free tea & coffee and
other drinks at bar prices.
PLEASE COME ALONG.
