Might be all right for waterbirds and birds in flight (though
both of those are generally far enough away that focus is not a problem), but for
use in the bush, where you’re frequently peering through foliage at a
bird, I can see autofucus being a distinct disadvantage.
I reckon image stabilisation might be a more useful feature.

Could someone give me an opinion about automatic
focussing binoculars, please. Do they literally focus automatically? Are they
heavier than manually focussing binos? Are they worth what I believe would be a
fairly high price? Other disadvantages?
