Following up on this thread, I’ve just looked at last year’s blitz records (25-26 Oct) for the species. Of the 152 Australian Raven records there were only 10 records of breeding. Eight were of dy, suggesting a fairly early start; one was of ny and one on. All were from different grid cells. Four came from urban areas, four from the urban fringe to rural; and two from Namadgi NP. b

I was recently asked a question about breeding of Australian Ravens  as recorded in the GBS.  This became a rather interesting investigation and as it was too complicated for Gang-gang but not enough for a CBN article I have posted my musings on my blog http://franmart.blogspot.com/2009/06/australian-raven-breeding-in-cog-aoi.html.
