I had a look for the Hooded Robins this afternoon but no luck. I did see and
photograph the Southern Whiteface, so that was a new species for me.
In the Turkey Hill area; 2 male Flame Robins, Female Scarlet Robin, Yellow
Robin, lots of Superb Fairy Wrens, Yellow Rumped Thornbills, 3 Southern
Whiteface, about 50 Starlings, Satin Bowerbird, Superb Lyrebird (nearby), Grey
Shrike-thrush, Grey Butcherbird, immature and adult Crimson Rosellas, Noisy
Minors, Australian Magpies (White Backed), Red Browed Finches. There were a few
Emu near the Visitor's centre and heaps of Grey Kangaroos. Frankly, the Turkey
Hill area is overgrazed by roos and rabbits.
Thanks for the pointer. It was worth the drive!
Rob
