Pied Currawong convention

We have a large Blakely’s Red Gum in the walkway beside our house.  This morning it was filled with at least 50 Pied Currawongs making quite a racket.  We could not see any raptors or owls to draw their attention.  They were just sitting around preening, flying to and fro.  Haven’t seen that many here before except on occasions where a Brown Goshawk or a Boobook was attracting their attention.

 

They eventually flew off.
