Fred and I drove out there today at about 2pm, to find Martin Butterfield had been there about 2 hours with no luck.

We had a similar experience to Lindsay's and heard and saw birds briefly.  They didn't stay in one spot for long.  We all eventually had reasonable views of one chestnut-rumped heathwren after using the recorded call.

The only other birds around were superb fairy-wrens red-browed finch, brown thornbill, white-eared honeyeater, crimson rosella and grey shrike-thrush.
