I am impressed with the number of birds that Martin and his group saw on their walk from Kambah Pool to Pine Island yesterday. The wind was so strong. We went to Glendale Crossing, planning to walk up the track towards Brandy Flat Hut. We had to leave the path through the bush. Leaves and branches were flying all over the place. We did not see one bird! I wondered how they could hang on to the twigs and branches in such a strong wind. What of the dust in the air? Does that bother the breathing of birds?
