Hi all Spent a couple of hours in Monga NP yesterday. A few birds about but not a huge amount of activity, except at Penance Grove. Here, the Pinkwood was in full flower attracting many Eastern Spinebills, Yellow-tufted Honeyeater and Crescent Honeyeater, amongst the many, many bees. Closer to the Mongarlowe river we had close views of Eastern Whipbird, White-browed Scrubwren and a quite a few Grey Fantails. Higher up on the ridges we heard a couple of Spotted Quail-thrush calling, and a Superb Lyrebird calling down in a gully. Cheers Anthony |
