Hi all,
A couple of months ago there was some talk of Grey Fantails disappearing from some sites and appearing in others where they hadn't really been seen in a while.
I'm wondering if anyone has noticed a similar change in the numbers of Willie Wagtails.  Usually in the places I frequent, (Monash, Greenway, Isabella Plains)  they are a welcome, but not always reliable sighting.  This Summer however, and particularly since New Year, I haven't been able to go for a walk anywhere without seeing at least one or two.  This is compared to the usual strike rate of about 60-70%.  I'm certainly not complaining, they are one of my favourite birds!
Incidentally, we had Grey Fantail reliably for the first time in 10 years near our house before New Year, but they seem to have all but vanished now.

Happy birding!
Alberta Hayes, Monash.
