I saw small nos of Jungle Mynas in Fiji (and fair
nos of indiginous birds0 in my forst trip to Fiji in 1978. There were lots of
Indian Mynas then, but in 1999 their populations were enormous. I had great
difficulty finding much else including Jungle Mynas, Red-vented Bul-buls or any
small indiginees! This is anecdotal for sure, but Blind Freddy dead drunk at
midnight could see the impact.
Cheers,
Bruce.
