A flock of 60+ Yelow-tailed Black-cockatoos has just flown past our place at Carwoola, coming from the direction of Googong and heading down towards the Hoskingstown plain.  The main body of the flock passed by my GBS site (or at least had done so by the time I worked out where the ruckus was coming from).  3 laggards hit the corner of the site, taher like a good sinkerball.  As far as I could determine all had the conventional form and allocation of melanin.

The flight pattern of the laggards was interesting in that instead of the usual steady flight - which reminds me of film of Lancaster bombers - these were slowly gliding and playing chasing games with each other.
