There have been a few posts recently about the vermin Common Mynas attacking native birds.  This morning Frances noted a large bird on the ground on the far side of our lawn.  On getting my binoculars I was pleased to see this was a Brown Goshawk (female by size) dining on bunny!  Yes!!  The goshawk flew off to a fence railing nearby whereupon the local Australian Magpies gave it a thorough buffetting, which I felt a tad harsh.

My reading of HANZAB indicates that it is far from unusual for this species to munch a rabbit.
