Martin, on a bike ride round the lake this morning, we confirmed that your nesting observation is at the same spot where a COG boat trip recorded over 30 nests and 150 birds on 29 March 2008.

My count this morning was for about 65 Little Black Cormorants here, plus about 15 Little Pieds and a couple of Darters.  Counting the number of nests proved too difficult from the shore - is anyone with a canoe able to help?

These were another 75 or so LBC much closer to the Scrivenor Dam wall (most about 400 m back on the W shore), so the total number seen this morning is very similar to that observed 11 months ago.
