A visit to the Kingston foreshore today produced a Spotless Crake, a very busy water rat and a Little Grassbird foraging in the open wren-style with cocked tail. It was very busy on the grass edge where there was plenty of exposed mud some two metres from cover and wasn’t a bit worried about my presence.
