I called in for a snuffle around Newline today and failed to find most of the specials.  However the calls of Peaceful Dove were very noticeable.  When I located a bird close to the dam (another was calling some distance away) I was surprised to observe it do a flap and glide flight to an adjacent tree.  This matches very well the Display Flight described in HANZAB V3, p952). So the Woodland Birds Survey might have a nice nesting record for the future.  Dusky Woodswallow were also feeding young.
