A non-birding friend of mine rang to tell me that
he has four Boobooks roosting in trees adjacent to his house in
Wanniassa. By his description, at least one is juvenile and probably
another but he has not wanted to get so close as to flush them. He can
hear small contact noises between them but no whit-whoo sound (I guess they are
not in the appropriate part of the breeding cycle for that call).
The location is a small area of parkland between
Adamson and Gaunson Creascents in Wanniassa.
