There was a magnificent Intermediate Egret in front of the Ardea hide at
Kelly's yesterday evening - in full breeding plumage, with a crimson bill with
yellow tip, deep lime green facial skin, crimson legs, and plumes on breast and
back. Of course, I didn't have my camera with me!

A Brown Falcon was hunting over the paddock at the back in remarkably
harrier-like fashion, and there appear to be a total of 5 young Royal
Spoonbills in the three nests, with the two in the lower lefthand nest now very
close to fledging.

Happy New Year

Regards
Frank Antram
