I noticed two Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoo fly into the
neighbours large Eucalyptus mannifera on dusk last night and
was glad when I awoke this morning to hear the incessant begging of a
dependant young bird outside my bedroom window, whilst the parent bird
was feeding on the seeds of a mature Banksia marginata. The
adult bird was a female, so an absent father on this occasion. After
she had finished feeding on the Banksia seeds and had flown into a E
mannifera in the reserve out the back, I was able to get a photo of
her feeding the young bird (attached - size 95 KB).
