Subject: [canberrabirds] Bird call identification required

Hi all

Can anyone help me identify a bird with a deepish and loud call that sounds like 'ooo-wee' (apologies in advance for bad interpretations) and is repeated over and over, sometimes ascending in pitch and increasing in speed?

I'm sorry that I can't identify the colour or shape of the bird that the call is coming from - it was very well hidden in a very tall pine and too high up for me to see.

I'm at work at the moment so don't have either binoculars or a field book to reference.

Hope you can help

Erin
