Hi Dimitris

I would say most likely Grey-tailed because:
  • the eyebrow extends behind the eye
  • the eyebrows appear to meet on the forehead
  • it is mid rather than dark grey

Listen for the 2 note call rather than the trill of the Wandering.

However, the experts do say that the  nasal groove is the most definitive feature - when you have the bird in the hand!

Cheers
Sue

Has appeared in the Bateman's Bay Marina, can anyone help? Or are the calls really the only way to go?

Also a spectacular mixed flock of 1,000++ Rainbow Lorikeets (they were flying around like starlings!), 200 Little Corellas, 100 Galahs and 50 Sulphur-crested Cockatoos behind Bird Land animal park.

Cheers and thanks for any help!

Dimitris
