Hi all,
I've been watching a Noisy Friarbird nest for the last couple of weeks and the eggs have hatched. There seems to be 2 or 3 chicks, I'll get a better look tomorrow. The nest is just near the underpass going into Monash from Tuggeranong Lake. It's very easy to find and quite easy to look at for anyone who likes looking at nests. There are no signs of koel or other cuckoo activity at this nest. I'm pretty sure all the chicks are friarbirds... :)
Alberta Hayes, Monash.
