For your possible interest; I haven't attempted to edit the self-congratulatory blurb.

I hope it makes them (ie ABC management) wonder about the wisdom of axing their wildlife documentaries unit.

cheers

Ian

During 6 days, Ménigoute lived in the rhythm of nature; the public being amazed by 35 wildlife documentaries from 15 countries.

Starring many creatures of the wild, including Humpbacks of the calm Hawaiian waters, Indonesian birds of paradise and Arctic grey falcons, we are proud to announce that  "Australia: Land of Parrots" has won the Grand Prix at the Menigoute - International Festival of Ornithogical Films.

The jury chairman was Luc Jacquet, who was the director and co-screen writer of the Oscar winning theatrical feature "March of the Penguins'.

And once again ABC DVD leads the way with Australia: Land of Parrots being released on blu-ray – the very first Australian made documentary to be produced and presented in this amazing new format.
