A few obs from yesterday.....

I went out to West Macgregor/Dunlop to find the Red-backed Kingfishers and
found them in the same general area as they were last year, oblivious to the
scary development that is now well underway there :(
Fairy Martins have several nests, but they were not as numerous as last year,
and some of the nests were broken, suggesting that recent rain has been causing
them some problems. Rainbow Bee-eaters, Rufous Songlarks and White-winged
Trillers also present. At Dunlop Grasslands, there were Brown Songlarks, and
also at Coppins Crossing/Finch Central, where I teamed up with Alastair Smith
to search for Singing Bushlarks - but no success with the latter. Plenty of
Skylarks and Australasian Pipits, plus Stubble Quail calling, and 3 Nankeen
Kestrels together.

Regards
Frank Antram
