Not an answer to Geoffrey's question - further illustration - and by coincidence
the same spider taken 10 minutes before I opened his email.

Added in the small album is another spider for experts' identification since the topic has been raised!
We flushed if from a pile of mulch into the picturesque wheelbarrow this a.m.

I've included photos of another spider-hunter in our garden - very actively feeding chicks nearby; a pair of Rosellas enjoying the bird bath (they're showing great interest in a nest box stored on the back verandah within a metre of the back door....); and a wonderful blossom-reducing machine!

I owe warm thanks to the kind members (particularly Ray and Geoffrey) who gave me advice about buying an
dslr camera + lenses. It's a wonderful machine too!
