Terry
I have memories of seeing large(ish) numbers of Bee-eaters engaged in burrow digging along Fairlight Road (which runs from Urriara Crossing to Mountain Creek Road). Also in the bank of the Murrumbidgee opposite Lanyon Homestead. As would be expected there are relatively few (171 over 26 years) observations of this species in the Garden Bird Survey. The two files attached may be a little helpful in suggesting where the birds approach suburbia and when migration happens.
