My brother Brian Wilson lives in Curtin.
He is not a bird watcher, but grew up in a birdwatching family and knows his birds reasonably well. I am perfectly confident of his ability to recognise the birds in question in this report.

He has told me that he has seen , Major Mitchell Cockatoos on 3 occasions in the Curtin and Hughes area, in the last two weeks:
  • The first time was a pair of Major Mitchells, with a flock of Galahs - in Hughes, close to Yarra Glen, near the Retirement Village close to the crossover road which runs from Curtin to Hughes.
  • The second time was 4 Major Mitchells - not with other birds.
  • The third time was a single M.M. with a flock of Galahs, in Curtin, roughly opposite the Mint.
