went to Callum Brae Wednesday and finally saw some flame robins there - the first this winter - on all other visits there they've been noticeably absent. there were two males, in usual area up on the back slope. also a group of 9 diamond firetails bathing in the dam which has saplings close to the water - a 15 minutes stay at that dam also yielded 5 double-barred finches, as well as fuscous, white-plumed, white-naped and white-eared honeyeaters - it seems to be a favourite spot for a mid-morning drink and bath.
