I cannot quite tell from your photo, but I think it is a young Indian Ring Neck Parrot.
They are a common cage-bird, and do  escape, but survive, as they are familiar with people, and come to feed tables.
Also sometimes blue forms and "luteas" are seen.
 
Body shape is similar to the Superb, but as you say, smaller.
