dropped in at Norgrove Park at Kingston around midday today - and along
the little waterway close to Dawes St parking there were two spotless
crakes visible from the small bridge, on the Kingston side of bridge. Only
a few metres away but not too concerned about me on the bridge, they were
in plain view along the edge and on the partly submerged vegetation. the
water level at Norgrove Park is very high - above the side walls at all
points around the waterways - there were several swans, as well as a few
dusky moorhen and purple swamp hens, but no ducks. some goldfinches in the
nearby trees - they seem to be there much of the time.
