Two were seen feeding on the exposed mud on the dam below the Namadgi Visitors Centre this morning, most likely immatures as from about 30 metres away they were two tone dark but I could not see any signs of the red eye or red legs, or the barring underneath the tail, perhaps due to the poor light.

According to the ranger they've been there for a while.  Certainly the most bold I've ever seen, right out in the open, frightened off by some noisy walkers a couple of times but they came straight back.

Less luck with the Jacky Winters, said to have been heard there yesterday but no sign of them this morning, or of the hooded robins at the Tharwa Sandwash.  So if anyone has seen these during the weekend, or during next week the robin twitchathon participants on 20 July would love to know where.
