Spotted Turtle-Doves (STD)

I know I've said this before, but at the risk of being tedious I would most strenuously urge anyone who has STDs nesting accessibly to intervene with fullest prejudice. At the very least please remove nest and eggs. I regard STDs as an incipient disaster - it would be very ironic if, at a time when huge community efforts seem to be making some headway against the Indian Myna tide, we allowed another known dangerously invasive species to become established.

I will not inflict the arguments on the group at large again, but if anyone isn't familar with the arguments I can send an article I wrote some years ago for Gang-gang. (Off-line, of course!)

best wishes all
