In April 2007, along with 14 mynas we caught 3 young possums! We couldn't believe our eyes when we came out one morning and a possum was sitting quietly at the top of the holding cage. Then over the next week, it happened twice more. We're not sure if it was the same (dopey) possum or we caught others as well. And, yes, the cages required quite a bit of panel beating and rewiring each time! Cheers Vikki PS: I've got a photo if anyone wants to see. -----Original Message----- From: Bruce Lindenmayer Sent: Tuesday, June 17, 2008 12:02 PM To: COG Chatline; Julian Teh Subject: mynah trap not only for mynahs My brother Ian caught an enormous rat in his trap in his Yarralumla garden last year. So far it is his total score, I think, because he and his wife feed magpies which chase away any mynas which come near his lawn. Cheers, Bruce |
